The Skadi 19 Row Thermostatic Oil Cooler Kit for the Mazda MX-5 NC is designed to improve oil temperature control during fast-road and track use. By increasing cooling capacity, the system helps maintain consistent oil performance under sustained load, supporting engine reliability and reducing thermal stress during demanding driving conditions. The thermostatic sandwich plate ensures that oil is only routed through the cooler once it has reached operating temperature. This allows the engine to warm up correctly before additional cooling is introduced, preventing overcooling during normal driving while still providing effective temperature control when required. The sandwich plate also features two 1/8 NPT ports for turbo oil feeds or pressure and temperature sensors. Four metres of AN-10 black nylon braided hose are included for flexible installation. This kit fits all NC chassis MX-5 models and installs without drilling or permanent modification. Multiple configurations are available with or without a fan shroud and with or without oil filter relocation. Cooling fans can be controlled via a dashboard switch, ECU, or an optional inline thermostatic switch.
